Leave it to Mary Matlin to get me out of my funk and back on track.
This morning, the Republican guru proclaimed on Meet the Press that Hillary Clinton was behind the Eight Ball when calling out George Bush during last Thursday’s debate. In Mary’s mind, this race isn’t about George Bush. Her feeling is voters aren’t even thinking about him and/or have put him out of their minds, so Hillary is making a mistake evoking his name.
Far be it for me to disagree with Ms. Matlin, but when John McCain walks around promising to continue the Bush tax cuts that help…the rich, and Mit Romney evokes Ronald Reagan’s name as many times as Rudy Giuliani mentions 9/11, I think it’s safe to say the only way we are truly going to stop thinking about George Bush and a Republican lead White House for that matter, is to vote for someone who doesn’t embrace any of his or their ‘ideals.’
Now, I’m not going to tell you who to vote for, HILLARY, just make sure you vote for C-H-A-N-G-E. Otherwise known these days as D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C. CJ
